History of Cape Town
European ships, mostly Portuguese, began visiting the area in the late 15th century for food and water, then whaling and trading with the inhabitants. Jan van Riebeeck founded Cape Town in 1652 as a Dutch East Indies Company (VOC) trading port on the Cape Route. Table Mountain

Bo-Kaap is a multicultural neighborhood with Muslim mosques and shrines. Bo-Kaap Museum is also important, which depicts the lives of early Muslims in the area. Clifton Beach
